Name: Sanneke Zurhaar-Ruiter
Current position: Customer Service Specialist

“I have never experienced a workplace where I can truly relax, do my work, and be myself. Of course, I work in the nicest team at ARP!”
From past to present
I never imagined working in IT, but thanks to ARP, I’m glad I was given the opportunity. I’m an extremely passionate gamer, and because of that, I have quite the affinity with IT and also have some experience of various kinds of device-related issues. It quickly became apparent in initial interviews that this experience would be well-suited to the position I was applying for, and I’m happy to report I’ve been working as a Customer Service Specialist at ARP since June 2021.
My position is anything but a boring office job. In fact, it feels like I’m solving different puzzles every single day. My focus is always on the customer and their issues and trying to find out, for example, why one of their devices isn’t working properly. Each customer’s problem is unique, which means the job is never boring.
In what ways has ARP surprised you?
I’ve worked at several companies, but this is the first time I feel I can really be myself. From day one, you are trusted to get on and do things and my colleagues were genuinely interested in finding out more about me—both a new and very nice experience. I love a cup of tea, and my colleagues are no longer surprised by the number of varieties I have on my desk. It’s just part of who I am!
How do you see your future at ARP?
I foresee a long and happy career at ARP. I love going into the office and working with such a close-knit team of fantastic colleagues, who make me laugh every single day.

Tips for new colleaguesDespite having 170 employees, there’s quite a family atmosphere at ARP. Most people know each other and the culture is pretty informal. It’s a place where you can truly be yourself.
