From past to present
My first role was as a healthcare account manager and when I started out at ARP, I thought working with commercial customers would be the perfect fit for me.
ARP, however, thought my strengths would be better suited to the healthcare industry. After several interviews, I joined the company as a Healthcare Account Manager on 1 October 2021. I felt welcomed from the very first day. The start was all about getting used to the job and the people, but the healthcare sector is definitely where I want to continue my journey.
I was very proud to recently have been offered the opportunity to take the next step up the career ladder. I am now a business developer, which means I’m in constant contact with customers, advising them on the best possible solution for their situation.
My colleagues and I have the freedom to think outside the box and come up with suitable solutions, which means my working days are always full of surprises.
In what ways has ARP surprised you?
ARP is a relatively large company with 170 colleagues, but it maintains quite a personal atmosphere. Everyone knows each other and colleagues help each other out whenever they can. In other words, the culture at ARP has truly surprised me, and it is this culture that makes our company so special.
How do you see your future at ARP?
Rosy! There’s something new every day in my position as a business developer, which has allowed me to continue learning and growing. I’m so happy that I get to choose the path I take.
I have several colleagues as mentors, and this gives me the space I need to make my own choices. Of course, I sometimes make mistakes, but I’m allowed to learn from them, which means every day is a school day!

Tips for new colleaguesI don’t have anything specific, but I would say that ARP is a very welcoming company where the people really matter.
