This box is made entirely from sustainable cardboard and can be reused many times. During transit, the box should be sealed to protect it from the weather and theft.
In the past, we used plastic wrap for this, but this is a material that now goes against our core values and we’re now experimenting with a paper wrapper. It prevents theft because it can’t be removed without tearing, whereas the old plastic wrap could be unwound in one piece.
The paper is coated with a waterproof layer to prevent moisture getting in for a short time. A new tax on plastic means that a growing number of customers are carefully monitoring the amount they use in their supply chains.
Less plastic is therefore the way to go, and we’re happy to be able to do our bit!
