ARP is growing! Our growth strategy isn’t just a plan on a piece of paper—it’s something we put into practice every day. To support this momentum, we’re looking for a Business Developer – Water Authorities & Government to help strengthen our position across the public domain. Someone who thrives on complex sales opportunities, builds lasting relationships and is motivated by growth. Growth for our customers, for ARP and for your own career. You aren’t the kind of person to wait for opportunities to come your way—you create them?
In this role, you’ll focus on public and semi-public organisations, including water authorities, water utilities and other government-related bodies, navigating complex IT challenges, diverse stakeholder landscapes and demanding procurement processes—exactly where you do your best work. You understand how decisions are made in the public sector and know how to engage stakeholders and build relationships at both tactical and strategic level.

Navigating seamlessly between clients, vendors, manufacturers and internal specialists, you know how to bring each stakeholder together. While working closely with colleagues, you also take full ownership of your own business area. That calls for an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong sense of ownership and the drive to continuously create and convert opportunities.
“No two days are the same in a Business Developer role. You work closely with customers, build lasting relationships and turn opportunities into tangible results. What I find particularly rewarding is seeing customer needs evolve into new initiatives within ARP that you've helped set in motion. On top of that, you often get the chance to be among the first to bring innovative solutions to market.” – Niels Pauel, Manager Outside Sales Public Sector
You’re not just focused on commercial success, you think strategically too. You understand your customers’ challenges, recognise opportunities and are motivated by making a real impact. Collaboration is at the heart of how we work—whether it’s exchanging ideas on a tender, tackling a complex client case as a team or helping each other take a deal to the next level. At ARP, that’s simply how things are done.
Your clients are based across the Netherlands, so you’ll be regularly on the move, spending several days a week on-site.
