Meet our speakers.
Technophilosopher
Rens van der Vorst is a technophilosopher who inspires students, professionals, and organisations to reflect on their relationship with technology. Every day, he challenges people to think critically—through humour, interaction, and thought-provoking insights. He gives guest lectures, leads workshops, writes articles, develops teaching materials, and builds and researches tools that help you think about your relationship with technology. Expect a session that will make you laugh—and leave you thinking.
Avans University
Steven shares how he successfully distributed 2,000 laptops in just three and a half weeks—thanks to the support of ARP and Bechtle. This efficient approach ensured continuity in both education and business operations, gave the IT department greater peace of mind and control, and resulted in high user satisfaction. Over the summer months, the old laptops returned by employees were repurposed into secure exam devices. By sharing his experience, Steven aims to highlight what can be achieved through strong collaboration and a forward-thinking mindset.
KNVB
What can your organisation learn from elite sports? Steijn Spreij offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association), where he serves as Manager of Performance Analysis & Technology, overseeing video and data analysis for all national teams. How can you use data smartly to improve team performance? What technologies make that possible? And how do you build a data-driven organisation? Steijn shares insights from the world of professional sport—and translates them into practical lessons for any organisation looking to advance in data, analytics, and performance management.
ING
How do you make cybersecurity a boardroom priority? Leen has a unique ability to translate digital threats into strategic decisions—not as a technician, but as a business expert with a sharp eye for IT and geopolitics. His experience spans organisations such as the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, KLM, TNO, and ING. In his session at NEXT, Leen shares how organisations can take control of their security posture—from analysing incidents to advising executive boards and supervisory committees. How do you build a security team? Where should it sit within your organisation? And how do you shift from building high walls to building strategic resilience?
